TCM Authenticator Trainee
Scott Evers has over 20 years experience in the wine and hospitality industry. He has a degree in Wine Business from Adelaide University and an advanced WSET Certificate. He was head Sommelier at the world famous Berowra Waters Inn Restaurant in Sydney in the late 1990’s and has since owned a Wine Importing and Distribution Company since 2002. Scott has hosted dozens of wine events and master classes, and is regarded as a global fine wine specialist and expert. Scott’s parents are wine producers, and his brother is General Manager and Head Winemaker of one of the iconic Wineries in Australia. To say that wine is in Scott’s blood is an understatement!
Scott relished the opportunity to become one of the first TCM Authenticator Trainees to be trained and mentored by Maureen. “I believe Wine Fraud is the greatest problem in our industry, and will be even more so in the future. I want to be able to play a small part in the fight against this problem. This training is at the cutting edge, there is nothing like this anywhere else in the world. In time we will make a difference. I have personally been a victim of unknowingly purchasing counterfeit wine, and I want to help others from making the same mistakes I have in the past”.
