What will you do with my Bottle or Bottles?

First Step: TCM Authentication Inspection®

Before we provide a TCM Inspection Reports®, we’ll start by inspecting each individual bottle submitted, or your whole collection. The process includes:

  • Send your bottle, or bottles, to us at one of our storage partner, inspection facilities. We are also happy to travel to you and your bottles anywhere in the world.
  • We inspect each bottle according to The Chai Method Inspection® standards and procedures of authentication. TCM Inspections® can include: using various types of magnification and different types of lighting, taking individual bottle notes on over 90+ different aspects of any individual bottle, taking photographs of individual bottles and groups where appropriate, in high resolution and under extreme magnification for research and reporting purposes. Types and numbers of photos and the extent to which written notes are taken may depend on the type of reporting the Client has requested.
  • The inspection process for a TCM Inspection Reports® is typically more extensive than that for a verbal report as it requires much more photography, at times by our professional photographer, full notation of all 90+ elements on each bottle as well as other proprietary inspection methods that are laborious and time consuming, but necessary to complete a thorough written report.
  • All inspections are completed onsite, be that in the storage facility to which bottles are sent, or at the location of an owner’s wine. At no time does WineFraud.com or its authenticators take possession of nor remove bottles from the insured storage location, for inspection and analysis.

Haven’t purchased Yet?

That is the BEST time to call in the experts!  We inspect auction lots and retail/broker offerings to ensure veracity of bottles prior to making an investment. It is a quick process and can save lots of time, money and hassle if inspections are done prior to purchase. For pre-purchase inspections of large numbers of bottles our rates posted here do not apply as we charge hourly or daily which is much more cost effective for the client.
