An Anti-Fraud squad raided Bejot Vins et Terroirs taking company files and computers to research from an anonymous tip of tax fraud and wine fraud. The company is currently still open and doing business.
Michael Wilson and his investment firm, Global Wine Investments Ltd, conned £200,000 from people hoping to get wine. After Wilson would promise the victims their wine, he would become evasive, and difficult. Wilson denies any wrongdoing.
The Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture (FOA) inspected a wine producer in 2013 of mixing wines and marketing them as premium wines. This has led the FOA to launch further investigations to ensure their wine reputation stays intact.
